What is normal? And where can I buy it?

I’ve been struggling with these questions for the past three years. That’s when I started having such bad bouts of depression, anxiety and panic (I was first treating it as a severe Burnout and resulting depression) that I even had a helpline on my speed dial.

I never called them.

Just knowing they were there was comforting.

 Let's look at the definition:

nor·mal

adjective\ˈnr-məl\
: usual or ordinary : not strange
: mentally and physically healthy

Full Definition of NORMAL

1
:  perpendicular; especially :  perpendicular to a tangent at a point of tangency
2
a :  according with, constituting, or not deviating from a norm, rule, or principle
b :  conforming to a type, standard, or regular pattern
3
:  occurring naturally <normal immunity>
4
a :  of, relating to, or characterized by average intelligence or development
b :  free from mental disorder :  sane
I stopped dead at the last one.
It says a lot about today’s society and its attitude towards mental disorders.
grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

wow
Brings me to the point: Do I really want to BE like that?
Giving up all my quirks, imagination and exploring the world through eys of a child
ME?
After having tried so hard to find me
in all the years of having tried to be like I assumed
others wanted me to be?

Nope.

For me - it's simple just not worth the energy ;)
I actually came to believe, that my difference
is an ultimate blessing.
Why?
Because it might help others to not loose sanity by all the normalness around them!
:D

If you're trying to find out if YOU are "normal", I recommend this article:

Welcome to my world!

Ok, that's exactly how my mind works
- and so you come to understand the word different as applied to ME ;)
And yes, my coffee-maker has eyes.
How could I refuse him the stick on ones,
if he looked like an un-finished bird all along?!
Sorry, gotta run...
Need to check on my PC.
Felt a little abandoned yesterday.
I was in a conference with my mind.

How quick are YOU to judge?

Think before you judge. You never know the story behind it.
Look closer. You never know how many tears a smile hides.
Do not set anyone aside before you have walked in their shoes.
Are you greater than HE who will always hold his hand over me?

Momo held a paw to my head and made me post this:

http://www.sadanduseless.com/2012/04/texts-from-my-dog/

She insists I tell you cat activities are smart, dogs are useless.
She's proof-reading now.
Intensely.
Back to the task.

You could talk to a cat meanwhile.
Not my cat.
But you get the picture.

We might do some of our own.
Momo thinks she is not getting much attention when her inmate is writing-tuned.
She might turn to modern technology.
(Besides either attacking from above or trying to unplug the evil thing from below.)

I have been informed that I forgot to inform here.
So here we go again:
just in case one wonders - that's where I am.
(and with a word count of 80.000+ it will take a couple more month.)
Blog closed till further notice - might open for snippets.
